The StopLitter™ campaign is a grassroots movement. That means we need you! We’re looking for city and county administrators, civic and nonprofit partners, businesses and private citizens to localize the campaign in communities across the state and help us tell Tennesseans that We’ve Had Enough.
We encourage you to distribute and use the StopLitter™ logo in multiple ways throughout your community – repetition is crucial to get the message out. To download logo variations, click here.
Ways you can StopLitter™ in your hometown:
Ask your local school system, police, sheriff’s office, local businesses, etc. to support the campaign by placing bumper stickers on vehicles or in store windows.
- Ask local parks to join in the campaign by adding StopLitter™ signage at picnic areas or entrances.
- Ask recycling and convenience centers to consider placing StopLitter™ banners at entrances.
- Ask local fast food restaurants to support the campaign by placing trash receptacles at drive thrus and exits. Ask them to place the StopLitter™logo on or near the receptacles or on the drive thru window.
- Add a button on your Web site to www.stoplittertennessee.blogspot.com Ask local government, businesses, etc. to do the same.
- Give a community presentation on litter. Download the PowerPoint here ,or print it out here from a *.pdf. Downloading the PowerPoint will take quite some time, due to the size of the zip file. After downloading the zip file, simply double click on it and you will find a folder, in which the desired PowerPoint is inside. First, you must then extract the files, and save them onto your desktop for viewing. Then you can enjoy the desired Powerpoint.
